How to close your pocket knife

We offer several different pocket knives. Please let us know if we may help you further.

GO ANYWHERE SURVIVAL KIT, 142 components:

At the joint where the blade opens and folds closed is a serrated metal piece. That is the safety locking device.

  1. Carefully hold the open pocket knife with the blade facing up.
  2. Push the serrated piece off the blade joint, towards the handle frame, and gently and carefully push the blade closed.

Seat Belt Cutter (the blunt point at the end of the handle) and Glass Cutter

At the end of the pocket knife is a blunt metal point that will break car window glass when forcibly pushed against it. DO NOT USE IT ON YOUR CAR GLASS UNLESS IT'S AN EMERGENCY.

Also at the end of the pocket knife is a cutting blade for seat belts and other thicker material.

Why did my pocket knife arrive with liquid on it?

Upon the purchase of your new product, your pocket knife or multitool may appear wet or greasy. This is oil to keep the joint lubricated. Simply use a clean cloth to wipe off. Your knife or multitool is ready to use.

How to sharpen your pocket knife

You will need a sharpening stone or sharpening apparatus, your pocket knife, and a lubricant (optional). For a general-purpose pocket knife, a medium-grit will work fine.

Lubricating the stone will help prevent the stone from clogging and make it easier to sharpen your knife.

SHARPENING STONE

Hold the pocket knife in one hand and the stone or apparatus in the other. The knife should be held at a 20-degree angle to the stone.

Move the pocket knife back and forth across the sharpening stone in a smooth, even motion. Apply light pressure as you do this.

Repeat these steps until the knife is sharp.

SHARPENING APPARATUS

Hold the knife in one hand and the apparatus in the other.

Hold the knife at approximately 45-degree angle against the crisscrossed sharpening blades, drawing or pulling the knife back towards yourself. You can apply a little more pressure than if using a sharpening stone.

Repeat this step until the knife is sharp.

IMPORTANT TIPS

Wipe the blade with a clean cloth when finished.

Wear safety glasses when sharpening your pocket knife.

Be very careful not cut yourself.

Do not over-sharpen the blade, as this can make it dangerous to use.

If you are not comfortable sharpening your knife yourself, take it to a professional.

MOLLE SYSTEM

Collapsible content

What does MOLLE mean?

The Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) system, first adopted by the US Army in the 1990s, revolutionized tactical gear. This versatile system features a grid of loops on backpacks and vests, allowing for the secure attachment of essential equipment like weapons, knives, ammunition bags, and other tools.

How does the MOLLE system work?

Gear with MOLLE webbing allows for attachment of components using woven straps, ensuring a strong, motion-resistant bond. The core of the MOLLE system is a grid of horizontal straps (webbing) sewn onto the backpack or vest. These straps are typically one inch wide and spaced one inch apart, creating a grid-like pattern. Pouches, holsters, and other accessories can then be secured by snapping the clips onto the webbing grid.

What are the benefits of MOLLE?

Organization: Keeps your gear organized and easily accessible.

Customization: Allows you to tailor your loadout to your specific needs.

Security: Provides a secure way to attach essential equipment.

Versatility: Can be used with a wide variety of backpacks and vests.

Customize and make it your own!

The beauty of MOLLE is its customizability. You can attach pouches and gear exactly where you need them, keeping essential items readily accessible.

The modular design allows you to adjust your loadout based on the specific mission or activity.

Pouches come in various sizes, allowing you to carry everything from first-aid kits and ammunition to water bottles and communication devices.
